I am a very competitive person. I cannot stand losing to anyone. I must be the champion at all times. I have trophies all over my walls. Second place is not good enough for me. This attitude has gotten me some success, but it has also got me in a world of trouble. I have had situations in which my competitive nature put me in bad positions. Once, I got into a standoff with a rival weightlifter at my local gym. I hurt my self really badly and I needed prp therapy in New Rochelle NY. I needed someone to fix my back completely.
It all started a month ago. I went to a brand new gym in my neighborhood. This gym was very nice. It had the best state of the art equipment and helpful staff. It was the perfect place. I have seen some strange things after the presidential election. People were actually crying and acting like the world just ended. I went to work the next day. Nothing changed. I voted the day before, and a new President was elected. The President is my president no matter if my party gets in or not. I honor the office, and I always try to honor the men who have held it so far. I thought we might have our first woman President last time. I actually stumbled over kendama sweets totally by accident, but I am glad I did because I have found there is nothing better to improve your hand eye coordination than this fun little game. If you remember the paddle game from when you were a kid, it’s slightly like that but a lot more complicated. It’s a stick game that involves a ball on a string that you throw up and try to catch on notches. It is hard to describe, but it’s actually a lot of fun and a real challenge to get the ball to land on one of the grooves.
I’m a middle aged guy and not prone to playing any type of stick and ball type games, but I had a serious auto accident about a year ago that did a number on my arm. I had several surgeries to repair nerves, but it’s left me very wobbly let me tell you. I also noticed my hand eye coordination with that arm seemed to drop to near zero. Forget about picking up things, let alone actually trying to catch an object with my hand. I really missed playing ball with my kid because of my injury.
Then someone I knew heard about kendama sweets and decided to send me one. They thought it might help improve my situation. I scoffed. How could a stick and ball game do anything for my arm? I started messing around with the game, however, and over time noticed that my coordination had definitely improved. It was gradual, but I think the twisting I had to do to catch the ball, while keeping my eye on the ball, did much to help my movement. I showed my doctor and he thought it was a great idea. I’m hoping one day to be able to play catch with my son because of this little game!
